We recently parted ways with Federated. They did not meet our needs for our three funeral home establishments. Although we attempted to stay the course and hope for the best, our business relationship just wasn't working. Thankfully we received a great recommendation for funeral home accounting services through a firm that's closer to home. I'm personally looking forward to having our tax preparation accomplished in a timely manner. Sorry for the bad review. I do not recommend Federated.
Unless you want to work for a company that does not care about its employees, I would avoid this company at all costs as they are not willing to give new hires a fair chance. After graduating with a master’s degree in accounting and receiving an offer from this company to do tax work, I regret accepting their offer since they never gave me a chance to work with them. They terminated me after just the second day of work with their reason being that I was not able to keep up with their tax program. We did not start doing the actual tax work until the second day since the first day was just orientation and despite not having prior experience with their tax program, I was just starting to get the hang of it towards the end of the workday. Given that my hometown is 85 miles away from the company and I did not have a place to stay, I had booked a hotel in the city for the first 2 weeks of work and had planned on extending my stay every week or 2 after then. After being terminated after just the second day, I was very fortunate that my hotel was willing to refund me for the remainder of the days I was supposed to stay there or I would have been out of a lot of money. All I can say is that this was a really humiliating experience and that’s why I am warning future employees what they could be getting themselves into if they decide to work here.
