Used FlySPI many times and have to say how stress-free it is compared to OHare, Midway & the other large airports I had to use living in Chicago for 10yrs... @ SPI, You can literally park for free less than 100yds away from your gate!!! I had to park farther away when I go to Target. Haha! The terminal is always spotless and clean, very easy to relax next to a plug-in. Thankful we have A.L.C. Airport as an option in Central IL!
Small airport but very good
I don't know why Nyana and Lorena are complaining? Capitol airport is directed from the airline to cancel flights. The airlines is also who supplies the aircraft so if you had to wait it was the airlines not airport. I also don't know what staff you are talking about but from administration down they are caring and very knowledgeable. They constantly are doing training both hands on and computer training. If you wonder how I know, its because I worked with and for the staff there. They are great caring people!
This airport has frequent cancelations that will cause travel delays. My travel was delayed by a day because of a light fog. It is a pleasant airport with polite staff, but they have few employees, one TSA lane, and one (used) gate.
