Visited in early October. Crowds were very small, we walked in to the visitors center and got free tickets to the next available tour of the Lincoln Home.
Well worth your time. Everyone very nice and helpful. So much to see and learn. Great for kids to learn about history.
They offer a free guided tour in order to go inside Lincoln's home and it's amazing! It's beautifully kept and the guides are really knowledgeable. So much history in one place. A must do!
Wonderful place to visit with the family and learn about our country's history. Close proximity to I-55, so you can visit from Chicago. A museum is located nearby, enriching the experience, as well as many different sites with history as well. I would give it 5 stars and recommend it to all.
History is awesome and seeing some of the past today is absolutely worth it. This is a National Historic Site and the Visitor Center has a video that revealed things that I did not know. Very good show and what a great place to see where real impactful history happened. Don't forget to get the Jr. Ranger Badge for your children.
It was a memorable experience to be in the home were Abraham Lincoln actually lived with his family.
Our guide was a cute and cheerful young woman, a recent college grad just getting her start with the park service.
