I am leaving an one star review based on my train ride experience. The staff at the station were kind enough, however they had security following 3 men around the station that were causing a stink, then the proceeded to allow these men onto the train. If they were acting up at the station to the point security was required, why would you allow them on the train? And wouldn't you know it two of them sat right behind me. I have taken the train to chicago A LOT, so I am fairly comfortable with the process, but these men were continuously harassing other passengers, asking if they could borrow phones they even told a man who I gave permission to sit in the seat beside me, because the train is sold out, that he had to move. Then that man (one of the three) sat beside me and began to quiz me about my life. I felt uncomfortable and, for the first time ever on a train ride, unsafe. The part I found worse was that there was no car attendant that I could talk to about it, the only time I saw them was with new boards. When the man who had been told to move tried to tell the car attendant what happened the attedant flat out said that he didn't care. He didn't care that there was someone one the train harassing other passengers! I was flabbergasted. I have taken a train all the way to Washington DC before and never felt this uncomfortable. I could have moved, but on a sold out train that isn't an easy task. I will strongly reconsider the train as an option for travel in the future. Driving can get me to any destination faster than the train and I won't be harassed by other passengers who sit down and point blank ask me if they can have a picture of me and see a picture of my boyfriend because they think I am making it up to get them to go away. The car attendant don't care if their passengers are being harassed in any way.
I liked the station but one Staff member Teresa was very very rude...Love what you do and do what you love ✊
I had no problems here.
Beautiful station and lovely staff; but in the computer age, they could use more than 1 electrical outlet in the entire waiting area.
Very bad area. God forbid you have to sit here and wait for a train after dark or early morning.A guy just got jumped on hos way to work in this area lastnight.Bring mace or some kind of protection and dont carry cash.
