Horrible customer service! My wife was in there and waited 30 minutes for help. Once it was her turn the younger guy working there told here he would be with her in one minute. He then went over to a older couple who just walked in and asked them "what can I help you with?" After she has waited there for 30 MINUTES! And this isn't the 1st issue we've had with Zales! I wish I wouldn't never shopped here! My wife wedding ring has to be repaired twice a year! The ring is with them more then it is on her finger. Not happy with Zales and I would direct everyone away from Zales!
I bought a rose gold ring for my Fiance and had it shipped off to be resized. When it came back it was no longer rose gold, it was gold and looked VERY dirty on the sides. This ultimately told me they must not have put much time and care into the item I had purchased from them and to top it off it took a month for it to be shipped back in. That's just unacceptable and I won't be buying from there in the future.
Absolutely horrible service. They lost my friends whole wedding set and did not care or want to compensate for all of her trouble. The district manager is just as bad, so save yourself the time and stress and shop anywhere else.
I went in tonight about 6:30 or so to have my rings and earrings inspected. The young lady by the name of Kinsey (sp?) asked what she could help me with and I told her that I was here to have my jewelry inspected. (It has to be done by July 31st). She proceeded to help me and took my jewelry over to start the inspection, after checking my earrings she asked if I had purchased them there and I said yes and that everything was in my envelope here on the counter. She proceeds to tell me that they will have to send them off as most of the sapphires were ready to fall out. I said that’s odd, because the last lady that had inspected them said they were fine and that they haven’t been taken out of the box since then. She brought them over to the counter and went back to the area to work on my rings. At that point a couple walks into the store and she says hi, how are you. The other girl working begins talking to them and asks what she can help them with and Kinsey tells her I got them and walked away from working on my inspections. After standing there for about 10 minutes, Kinsey asks the other girl if she had done the paperwork for my earrings, and she told her that she didn’t know that she was supposed to. Kinsey then said to her, silly girl I asked you to (she didn’t) and then says my other things are still over there. She goes to get them and my 1 carat ring is still in the cleaning solution where Kinsey left it, she finishes cleaning it and brings it to me, I tell her I have a 3 carat ring over there as well. She goes to get it and she had to clean that one as well, because Kinsey hadn’t cleaned that ring either. By that time I was very upset, because evidently I’m not as important as the couple that walked in while she was working on my jewelry and she just walked away. I told the other girl to just give me my things and I was going somewhere else and told her exactly what I was going to do, which was give them a bad review on their website and contact corporate. She was very apologetic and told me that she would be more than happy to finish the job but she understood why I was so upset. Kinsey should take pointers from this girl, as she knows how to treat the customers. I just wish that I had thought to ask her what her name was, because she deserves kudos for trying to correct the situation.
Kinsey is in desperate need of training on customer service, she should never walk away from the original customer to start working on another one, all because she wants to make a sell. Finish the customer you‘re working with before going on to the next one, or at the very least, let the other people working take the next customer.
I’d like to tell you about my visit tonight at Zale’s in Springfield at the White Oaks Mall and please keep in mind that I’m disabled and can’t drive because of health issues and anytime I need a ride, I depend on people to drive me wherever I need to go.
UPDATE: My daughter took me to the Decatur store today and according to them my earrings had nothing wrong with them, in fact he said when I check things out that he jerks on them to make sure they are tight and that the prongs were good. Ironic, isn't it!!
