Food is great just the old chili parlor on Jasper in DECATUR Ill.
THE place for Chili Heads! From mild to fire brand spice! The only place for chli in my opinion.
Never had been here before, never heard anyone talk about it, so I wanted to try. Staff was great at assisting you, even taking my styrofoam drink cup so I couldn't get a refill before leaving. Chili was mediocre at best. Spicy but somewhat bland, lots of oil and for $5.15, I should get more than a styrofoam bowl full and an extra charge for cheese. Say what??? Chili man might have one up on you.
I was not impressed for the price. Family owned, clean. I'm not a big chili fan anyway.
Great little place has been in Springfield for decades. All chili is made to order with varying ingredients and heat levels. Cash only, ATM on site. Highly recommended. Staff is extremely courteous and more than willing to help give you the info you need on ordering. Stop once and you will be back.
