it was good but one of the workers was rude ugh but i guess that's what i get when it comes to Springfield ugh its trash
Only one person working the ticket booth on a Saturday morning so the line was out the door (in the freezing rain). Good thing I got there 30 minutes early because that line took about 20. Not stadium seating. Parking lot was a mess. The concessions area does not work very well when crowded. You wait in line to get your popcorn and drink but then wait in line again to fill your cup and the space to get lids is tiny and awkwardly placed so it creates a bottleneck. Also, I had to help an older lady because she had never seen the new soda machines so she didn't understand how to get her drink. It's clean enough but I would say overpriced considering I can pay the same amount and go to a bigger theater with the stadium seating.
It is a pretty good theater. It offers 3D on movies as well so I'd say it's pretty current. The seats are a tad small but it really isn't that big of a deal. The screen is bright and the sound is good. Staff is friendly.
Uncrowded, clean restrooms, need to speed up and staff the concessions at the appropriate times. Ticket girl gave good feedback and I joined AMC Premiere Club to get me out of the house more. Tuesday 5$ off ticket and the loan you take out for concessions gets you the next size bigger free! Better seats and an upgrade would be nice, not from here but I live in Chatham and it's closest.
The other AMC 12 charges a dollar more just because the can to see the same movies this AMC 8 is nice, the staff is friendly and their prices are better.
