Great service! Good rates! Very comfortable room! Only issues are stains on carpet, sheets and covers and musty smell in the hallway. The sheets and carpet were very clean, just hadn't been replaced. The rates, location and outstanding service more than made up for these minor flaws.
I went in for a sleep study - I basically slept in a bed (similar to a hotel room) with some wires attached to me for observation. That's it - no blood drawn, no surgeries, nothing. One month later, I receive a statement for over $5,400 for that sleep study. I was stuck with a bill for $1,400 after insurance. I am still trying to wrap my head around this bill. After talking with the billing office, the lady kept stressing that there's a lot that goes on with a sleep study. NO THERE'S NOT. Somebody (who I assume is paid on a base salary) is watching a couple of computer screens and collects some data, which is then compiled into the final decision. This outrageous bill is why I'd rather die than step foot in another hospital for help. We are ripped off, and health care companies know it. $5,400 for a basic sleep study - smh....
I came in very ill with obstruction in belly. Super helpful..caring n respectful. Pain meds were given when I needed them n i felt the staff genuinely cared about me. Memorial Hospital is exactly the opposite n i will always return to St. Johns for treatment. Thank you to Rachel, my nurse at ICU D-6. and to Dr Bernhart..a surgical Dr.
They do not even deserve 1 star. The doctors were terrible. A simple appendectomy turned into a nightmare. They kept turning the patient away saying they are fine. Then they ended up having an infection after being told there is no infection. Then sent home without antibiotic when culture came back positive for infection. Then went back to ER when still super sick and was sent home. Later same day went to Memorial clinic and was told to go by ambulance to hospital. Never go to St John's again. Praying infection is not in blood now. This is life and death now bc of their ignorance and carelessness.
Spent a week here. Doctors and nurses were good. The food however is horrible. I spent most of my limited income getting food to go from other places.
